About us
The Village, Saving Jared, Inc. exists because I had 2 sons that had very few positive male role models. The Village is a vision given to me after my oldest sons’ death, in an effort to save another mother's son. By providing mentors, workshops encouraging mental growth, educational advancement, and social as well as physical health we can be one step closer to saving a life and promoting a future.
My son lived life to the fullest, but there were a lot of things that were not offered and available to him. My goal, my vision, my purpose is to help a young man evolve into manhood, high school & college graduate, community leader, a voice for the voiceless, allowing him an equal opportunity at life.

In 2007, I lost my first born son. This was a devastating time for me and my family. But through it all, what gave me strength was my faith and the knowledge that I had 2 children depending and leaning on me.
It is true that some people don't look like what they have been through. Trust me, it was not easy. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of Jared, wish he were here, and wonder why I couldn't have a little more time. Some questions, you would love to be answered. And then you wonder if you can handle the truth.
We all have a purpose!
This organization was birthed from his loss. Birthed from the hope that, what this world couldn't give him, another life can be saved. One boy at a time!
